From Northern Taiwan (Heading South):
- Via National Highway No. 1: Take National Highway No. 1 (Sun Yat-sen Freeway) to the 122K Daya System Interchange. Head east toward Tanzi on Provincial Highway 74, then merge onto National Highway No. 3. Exit at the 214K Wufeng System Interchange toward Guoxing/Puli (National Highway No. 6). Take the 29K Ailan Exit toward Puli/Yuchi. After exiting, turn left onto Provincial Highway 14 (Zhongtan Highway). Follow the signs for Provincial Highway 21 toward Sun Moon Lake. Keep left to merge onto Provincial Highway 21A and follow the Ring Lake Road to reach Ita Thao.
- Via National Highway No. 3: Exit at the 214K Wufeng System Interchange toward Guoxing/Puli (National Highway No. 6). Take the 29K Ailan Exit toward Puli/Yuchi. After exiting, turn left onto Provincial Highway 14 (Zhongtan Highway). Follow the signs for Provincial Highway 21 toward Sun Moon Lake. From Southern Taiwan (Heading North):
- Take National Highway No. 3 , exit at the 214K Wufeng System Interchange toward Guoxing/Puli (National Highway No. 6). Take the 29K Ailan Exit toward Puli/Yuchi. After exiting, turn left onto Provincial Highway 14 (Zhongtan Highway). Follow the signs for Provincial Highway 21 toward Sun Moon Lake. Keep left to merge onto Provincial Highway 21A and follow the Ring Lake Road to reach Ita Thao.
